This Refund, Return & Exchange Policy (“Policy”) applies to all purchases made from Devalika Decor, a sole proprietorship having its registered office at:

By placing an order with us, you agree to this Policy.


1. POLICY OVERVIEW

We offer a 7-day return and exchange window from the date of delivery, subject to eligibility criteria mentioned below.

Refunds or exchanges will be processed only after:

  • Product inspection
  • Verification of condition
  • Approval by our quality team

We reserve the right to refuse any request that does not comply with this Policy.


2. RETURN ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

To be eligible for return or exchange:

  • Request must be raised within 7 days from delivery date
  • Product must be unused and in original condition
  • Product must be returned in original packaging
  • All tags, labels, accessories, and invoices must be intact
  • Product must not show signs of wear, washing, installation, or damage caused by customer

We may require:

  • Clear photographs of the product
  • Mandatory unboxing video (for damaged or incorrect item claims)

Failure to provide required documentation may result in rejection of the request.


3. NON-RETURNABLE / NON-EXCHANGEABLE ITEMS

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Used products
  • Products damaged due to customer mishandling
  • Products returned without original packaging
  • Clearance, discounted, or final sale items (if marked as non-returnable)
  • Items returned after 7 days
  • Products damaged after delivery due to improper installation or storage

We reserve sole discretion in determining eligibility.


4. DAMAGED / DEFECTIVE / WRONG ITEM CLAIMS

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product:

  • You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery
  • An unboxing video clearly showing sealed packaging and defect is mandatory
  • Without unboxing video proof, claims may not be accepted

Upon verification, we may offer:

  • Replacement (subject to availability), OR
  • Refund

Decision will be based on inspection and verification.


5. EXCHANGE POLICY

We offer exchanges within 7 days, subject to stock availability.

Exchange conditions:

  • Product must meet return eligibility criteria
  • Exchange is allowed for equal or higher value products
  • If exchanging for higher value item, price difference must be paid
  • If exchanging for lower value item, difference may be refunded as store credit (at our discretion)

If the requested exchange product is unavailable, refund may be issued instead.

We reserve the right to limit exchanges in cases of repeated requests.


6. RETURN PROCESS

Step 1: Email care@devalika.com with:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return/exchange
  • Clear product images
  • Unboxing video (if claiming damage)

Step 2: Upon approval:

  • Reverse pickup will be arranged (if serviceable), OR
  • You may be instructed to ship product to our return address

Step 3: Product inspection will be conducted within 3–5 business days after receipt.

Step 4: Refund or exchange will be processed if approved.

If product fails inspection, it may be shipped back at customer’s cost.


7. REFUND PROCESS

Refunds will be processed:

  • To original payment method (for prepaid orders)
  • Via bank transfer if original method is unavailable

Refund timeline:

  • 7–10 business days after approval
  • Bank processing time may take additional 5–7 business days

We are not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment gateways.


8. SHIPPING & REVERSE SHIPPING CHARGES

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Reverse pickup charges may be deducted if return is due to customer preference.
  • If return is approved due to manufacturing defect or wrong item, reverse shipping will be borne by us.
  • If customer provides incorrect address leading to return shipment, additional shipping charges may apply.

9. CANCELLATION POLICY

A. Prepaid Orders

  • Cancellation allowed only before dispatch.
  • Once shipped, cancellation is not permitted.
  • Refund will be processed to original payment method.

B. COD Orders

  • Cancellation allowed before dispatch.
  • Repeated COD cancellations or refusals may result in:
    • COD facility restriction
    • Account suspension
    • Future prepaid-only orders

We reserve the right to verify COD orders before dispatch.


10. REFUND REJECTION CONDITIONS

Refund or exchange may be denied if:

  • Product is found used, washed, installed, or damaged
  • Return request exceeds 7 days
  • Required proof is not provided
  • Fraudulent behavior is suspected
  • Product returned is different from originally shipped item

In such cases, product will be returned to customer at their cost.


11. CHARGEBACK & FRAUD PROTECTION POLICY

If a customer initiates a chargeback without contacting us:

  • We reserve the right to submit delivery proof, transaction logs, IP logs, and communication history to the payment gateway.
  • Fraudulent disputes may result in permanent account blocking.
  • We may pursue legal recovery of financial losses and administrative costs.

We encourage customers to contact us first for resolution.


12. RETURN ABUSE MONITORING

We actively monitor patterns of excessive returns or misuse.

If abuse is detected:

  • Future returns may be declined
  • COD option may be disabled
  • Account may be permanently restricted

This measure is necessary to prevent fraud and operational losses.


13. FORCE MAJEURE

Return or refund processing may be delayed due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Courier strikes
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

We shall not be liable for delays caused by such circumstances.


14. FINAL DECISION AUTHORITY

All return, refund, and exchange decisions are subject to internal inspection and verification.

The final decision of Devalika Decor shall be binding.
